ProjectsOur MissionServicesContactDesign Your Mission

Craft your space mission experience.

During space missions, astronauts struggle seeing the same people all the time, performing routine tasks, and the space habitat becomes a place of likely rising conflicts. Not everyone can tolerate the isolation and loneliness encountered on long space flights, but a well-thought-out human-centered design can significantly relieve these issues.

2021: Stellar Amenities' year in review

Wrapping up 2021 and taking a look back at the key milestones for the year. In the year 2021, Stellar Amenities accelerated towards our mission of improving humankind's health, comfort, and performance beyond Earth.

We continued working remotely from our homes in Los Angeles, Boston, Big Bear, Costa Rica, and Denton, incorporating the company in California. We became an official NASA vendor and struck partnerships across aerospace and design sectors. We welcomed new colleagues with a passion for space architecture, and eagerness to disrupt design thinking in aerospace.

With Stellar Amenities founded in December 2019, our Founder Anastasia Prosina had a vision of making humanity multiplanetary, conquering crew behavioral health as the second biggest risk towards human access to space.

Just as spaceflight can challenge the limits of the human body, it also can be psychologically taxing. Factors such as a lack of privacy, high and variable workloads, and separation from loved ones can affect the behavioral health and performance of crewmembers. Astronauts must adapt and perform well in these demanding conditions. The Behavioral Health and Performance (BHP) capability is responsible for understanding how the conditions of spaceflight affect the thinking and behavior of astronauts, and for developing and testing interventions that help astronauts survive and thrive in these conditions.

Mastering human factors of extreme environments, spreading humanity across the universe, is perhaps the most grandiose project humanity will ever undertake, and Stellar Amenities is dedicated to supporting humanity's well-being and performance to reach the stars to prevent any extinction event from wiping off humankind on Earth.

Stellar Amenities team secured partnerships with leading design and aerospace companies to shape the way how humanity expands beyond Earth. Our partners include Bradford Space, a high-tech global aerospace developer and manufacturer; AstroAccess, an organization dedicated to advancing disability inclusion in space; Biosphere 2, a leading Earth system science research facility; O2 Treehouse, a custom treehouse company, ASTRAX, a Japanese zero-g provider, and more.

Expanding Our Partnerships

Stellar Amenities’ team has been growing, adding six critical members from various fields, from Space Architecture to  Brand Strategy. We have also welcomed James Ehrhart and Kriss Kennedy as our advisors, who bring us a wealth of knowledge from the aerospace industry and help strengthen our network.

Interested to join? We are always looking for passionate members to join our mission -- feel free to submit the form of interest.

Team Growth

We have been working on improving our operations and developed a system design in place to optimize our processes for better integration with our clients. With the help of our brand strategist Katie Barger, we redefined our brand values, focusing on experiential design and product development.

Our Design Systems

2020 and 2021 years taught us that working remotely has its challenges, especially for a design company like us. Yet, we learned to work efficiently as a multi-disciplinary team across the United States, with our partners spread over the globe.

The boom in the space economy is a spectacular opportunity for developing Stellar Amenities into a premier space architecture and design studio. For 2022, we have an ambitious agenda on working with the private and government space sectors to benefit humans on Earth and off-world as we grow our capabilities and scale. We will grow through our talent, commitment to advancing the art & science of space habitation, investments, and the right strategic partners.

This is just the beginning of our journey. See you in 2022!
